New to Pine Island FL

The Wife and I just purchased a home on Pine Island which for now will be a Winter get-a-way for us, and we look forward to learning to fish the backwaters. We are from N Indiana and live on a lake here, we have kept a boat on Lake Erie for several years and caught our share of Walleye, and are now starting our new adventure in Sunny FL.
Any expertise anyone would like to share is greatly appreciated. For now we will be bridge fishing and hiring flats boat Captains to show us the ropes.
