I'm a newbie to BF and to saltwater fishing! I will be fishing off of piers on Anna Maria island, Fla. on the gulf coast. I have never fished saltwater and would appreciate any help as to equipment, rigging, baits and lures etc.
Any saltwater fishing websites I can learn from?

Obviously this site is one of the best places to start! Check the how-to articles for setting up your rigs and baits.
You already know how packed the beaches can get on anna maria, so the best time to fish the beach is at the crack of dawn, or at sunset. IMO dawn is the absolute best time to hit the beach, and luckily, almost everyone disagrees with me.
Also, try the pass at the sound end of the island if you haven't already. The boat traffic is going to spook the fish, but again early mornings or weekdays are best in the passes.

Support local fisheries. Buy wild Gulf Shrimp.
