News from Pine Island
Hi All, just want to let you know my experiences the past few weeks I've been staying on Pine Island. Fishing has been pretty flat for me and most of the people I've observed fishing here. I've fished mostly from the Matlatcha Bridge and fed hundreds of shrimp to undersize sheepshead and my fishing neighbors seemed to be doing the same. Everyone seems to blame the cold weather.
I've got about 5 or 6 weeks before I head back to Seattle and I'm heading back to the Keys next weekend. I'm curious if the weather has effected the fishing all over?
I'd appreciate any tips you guys have for me.
Thanks

Sorry to hear about the bad fishing but yes overall the cold weather has killed the bite throughout most of the state.
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

Yeah we make it to the high 70s this week but we're still in the 50s at night.
Nice Boat! Now get it outa my driveway!
