Slow Day on Sebastian River

Jim Timmins and I launched our kayaks at Wimbro Park on the Sebastian River and fished downriver as far as US-1. In the water about 7 AM.

We each cast a few times to what appeared to be Snook, chasing bait but, neither of us hooked up.

While the fishing was slow, that area is filled with wildlife and birds of all description. Saw an Eagle, sebveral Osprey and several Anhingas up close and personal. Nudged a couple Manatees on the way downriver.

One of the Osprey took a big mullet about 25' from my yak just before I hauled out at noon..
