I live in a town house community (not gated) and when I first moved there everything was fine. Steadily over the past 5 or 6 years its been getting shitt!er... I've had things stolen twice, once being a majority of my fishing gear FROM MY CAR when I went in to grab some food and drinks from the house before heading back out. Was at night.. Broke my back window and grabbed everything they could and ran. The second time around was from my actual patio which is closed in and gated. I had a bunch of freshwater rods and gear outside to dry one late afternoon and woke up the next day and they were gone lol... I've had some good luck with my gear. I now never leave a tiny piece of gear in my car. Ever. I got all my windows tinted limo and you can't see anything inside so even if you wanted look and find something.. not happening. There's been a few early mornings I walk out to find my neighbors back windows on the ground. And that's just in my court. I pray that every day that I walk out of my house that I never find any grimey pos snooping around peeking in peoples cars because I do carry and I'm sick and tired of "filing a police report" so that if the lucky bastards get caught by the cops first and not me, my tax dollars aren't going towards their housing, free food, and gym... Sh!t on that. I'll pass. Oh and there's a nice mossberg 12 g for the genius that decides that going into my house while I'm there is a good idea. I don't mind blowing a hole in my wall knowing I can sleep comfortably and not pay for scum to live happily ever after.... :patriot:

Live in Dania, east of 441, w of 95. Not too bad. Although everyone else thinks it is. No one has messed with my boat. Only thing was some punk kid walked right into my carport at 5:30 on a Friday and rode off on my girl's bike. I chased him-thank god I didn't get his ass. I think the thing that pissed me off the most was the fact that it was 5:30 and I was watching TV in the next room. :dude:

9 out of 10 home invasions are drug rips in my experience. Daytime home burglaries are another story but home invasions aren't the same

Meanest dog I've met. I'd rather tackle a trailer park pit bull than pet Chico.
