1st trip to florida keys

hi all,off to florida on a flydrive 12th april for 2 weeks with the wife.its our 1st trip and was hoping you could put me right on a few things.going to have a boat trip or 2 for the tarpon.going from orlanda to the keys then upto clearwater for the last few days.
hope you can help with wot tackle i will need and any spots worth visiting also if anyone could recommend any hotels/motels with good fishing grounds

its gonna sounds a lil funny but i would hit up the rainbow bend resort if i was you the price aint bad an the plus is they give you a lil whaler to use

but if your already going out on a tarpoon boat they should supply everything you need

you should really think about saying screw it with the fishing an just go an drink

There are only four things to do in the Keys:
1-Fish
2- Drink
3- Dive
4-Eat

And you can do all of if at ONCE!!!

Light tackle for your own outing is fine and fun. With that little whaler you can fish the mangrove lines, just don't drink while you drive or you will get arrested if caught. You can stay at Long Key bridge Edgewater Lodge but they charge for 2 or 3 days a time. But it's a nice place to relax and then go on the bridge fishing light tackle for snook, taarpon, and snappers while you safely eat and drink and you can snorkel behind the hotel and surrounding areas.
