And while this was going on Ben was whooping up on the Pomps. He had a full limit but I convinced him that it would be good Karma to give one to an elderly gentlemen who looked like he could use a nice fish.....just knowing he would get more....uhhhh Oppps. Bet he still has some good karma coming though.



BTW for those that think just because someone posts a good fishing report that going to that pier is going to catch fish might want to rethink that one..... You might not have the same skills as the person that caught the fish, or the same bait.....or more importantly the same water/current/ wind conditions.

You shoulda been there last night and TJ woulda given you more than plenty. One of the only times in my recent memories I've seen folks turning down king left and right.

Everyone else was happy with their near-limits on the 12-14" macks. They were putting on aerial acrobatic shows out of the water off the S corner. I couldn't figure my lure preference out, but still did well. Would probably limited out if I didn't have a SUPER huge treb on a 1 1/4 oz. diamond. But, still did pretty good...I missed the little juvi macks.

Then, blues right behind them. Some small tips, too.

But, funny thing...there was little to no bait.
And...you should have seen the itty bitty Pilchards used ..that 45 lb. king actually ate the smallest bait there..apparently. I walked out just after that king was landed, but TJ said that was the case with the little pilchard.

BUT THE CONDITIONS WERE RIGHT...just like Rick ,said..."ONLY A FOOL CHASES YESTERDAY'S FISH!!!

I think I'm gonna go act a fool at sundown.

My last final is today and school (having 3 night classes) has put a damper on my "prime time" fishing at sundown.
