No fish there at all today. A couple Spadefish was all that I heard of all day. Pretty bad out there maybe the front on Monday will help, who knows.

Fished the pier yesterday from 6am to 2pm.....I don't recall ever seeing that pier with that slow of a bite! Here's what I saw or heard of being caught: 2 Cobe's (one was 38"(keeper) and one 31" that was released), 3 boo runna's, and 1 whiting. I did see one guy hook a mac and got it close enough to the pier to see what it was before it spit the hook, but that was it while I was there!!

Was out there from 4-6pm tonight, saw one 30# cobe floatin. The guy who spotted it thre behind it I threw way short of it. It popped back up on the south side of the t and put what should've been a perfect shot on it when it spooked. Later around 4:30 or 5 chris and dave showed up and we saw one naked manta and dave saw something on the bouy line that didn't eat. Other than that a couple macs were caught on crappie jigs.

it was pretty dead when i went there this morning. sometime around 10 or 11am a school of cobia came near the pier but most were short. only saw two that were legal to keep. dont know if the same pod or another came through again while i left but other than that it was like casting in the dead sea. there's also another thing i almost forgot to mention but some dude out there kept saying, they're they are..... right there..... look(well something like that) when in truth there were no cobes at the time. yes it was annoying as.... while most of us were sprinting for nothing but i guess it was funny to him.

No reason to go to LW until middle of March when the Permit start running hardcore there. The good thing is if you go there now there wont be a single good fisherman there cause they are all making the drive to Juno everyday. Most of us are good friends with those guys and some of them are very good fishermen.

The funny thing is that other then a school of cobes once a day there hasnt been a single fish caught at Juno. No pomps, no macks, no Tips, the Tripletail are long gone, and even no bluefish. Crazy stuff cause the weather hasnt been bad and the water is pretty decent.

Has anyone on here fished the pier this week? Just wondering if any fish have moved back in since I was there 2 weekends ago? Sp macs, blues, pompano, anything?? Or is it still just stand out there all day and wait for a possible pod of Cobia's to come through? If you don't want to put it on here, just PM me! Thanks!!

Stand and wait. Other then looking for Cobia you are wasting your time right now at Juno and even cobia are hit and miss right now. One Pomp today and a few spinners here and there. No schools of Mackeral in at least a week and 1/2 or two wks, maybe a stray here and there. No bluefish, no big jacks, no pomps.
Today was really dirty water when I got there before work, and in the even it was still pretty bad.

Thanks Chris, then I won't waste my time there tomorrow, I'll leave all the Cobe's for you!! :salut: I'll find somewhere else to waste my time where my chances of catching something are slightly better than winning the lottery!! :biglaugh:

I mean if you are looking to spot fish Cobia on jigs then Juno is your best bet of any pier around here, but there just isnt anything else there right now at all.

Who sells the Juno Cobia jigs? I saw a few with a different type of head looks elongated like a squidder? I think you would know what I am talking about. Do they sell at the baitshop or who makes them on the pier/ I would like to get a few. I have a few from Sea Bit tackle up in the panhandle, Frank Halton jigs but would like to get a few from Juno. Thanks
