Team Oldskool Report

Post by TarponKing »

Mike Palmer (sharkmn42) has been removed from team Old Skool, & no longer has any affiliation with team Old Skool. To feed his ego Mike Palmer has recently sent numerous photos of himself and quality fish from over the years to rod & reel manufacturers. Mike Palmer managed to make it into the Penn catalog. What Mike Palmer neglected to mention was that the fish in the Penn catalog and the numerous fish in photos from over the years that were pitched to rod & reel manufactures were in fact not even caught by Mike Palmer. Mike Palmer would merely hop in and pose with other peoples catches for quick photo opts.

Josh Maib, Josh Emerson, James Klarman, & Rex Graham fought and landed a beautiful 12’2” male hammerhead, currently an I.L.S.F.A. world record. Some photos were taken of this fish which included Mike Palmer and all the boys who battled this memorable catch. Yet the only photos to reach rod & reel manufacturers were of Mike Palmer & the boys catch, not of Mike Palmer & the boys with their catch. Mike Palmer has even deeper darker secrets & issues lurking in his fishing closet to try and hide from everyone in the shark fishing community.

Here is an account of what happened during the 2009 Black Tip Challenge tournament from the first place winner 16 year old Mike Croke. “While fishing the 2009 Black tip Challenge several things happened that I regret. This is a short summary of what happened. The first few days me and Elly were fishing by ourselves with no cheating going on. I was catching the sharks and Elly was my helper. She would bring me the tape, tags, take the picture, and fill out the tag cards. On the third or forth day Mike Palmer, Tim Quick, and Jeff Olson came to the beach. Mike was like the leader of this whole thing. Tim, Jeff, and Mike would catch a shark and Mike would force me to take a picture with it. Mike would yell and curse at me to run down the beach and take a picture with their shark witch I did not want to do. I felt intimidated by Mike and I reluctantly went down and took pictures with their fish even though I didn’t want to. Jeff hooked the largest shark and Mike helped fighting it. On the last night of the tournament Mike made me go out in the kayak at night when it was rough by intimidating me with yelling at me, Jeff had to grab Mike by the shoulder and talk to him to get him to stop forcing me to go out in the kayak. On the day of the awards Jeff called me and said “Michael, I am not asking you but this is what I demand". He wanted me, himself, Mike, and Tim to get more money than Elly and we should each give Elly $10. Each person got $250. I got a black fin rod and a dehooker. Tim got a black fin rod. Jeff got all the power Pro and a dehooker. I sincerely regret what happened during the black tip challenge. It has been very hard to come forward with this (because these people who cheated and received prizes and money know where I live and might retaliate). I felt I had to tell the truth, so that this would not happen to anyone else, and i felt it was the right thing to do because I know a lot of people that fished very hard fair and square during this tournament. In the end all I want to do is fish fairly win or lose.”

I knew this was going to come out sooner or later after yesterday's thread. Now I'm glad that everyone is going to start seeing his true colors. God knows how long he's been doing that for.

Really, why cheat? Just fish and be happy. Someone should let PENN know about this joker.
