Pensacola Beach Questions

Post by madshark »

I'm planning a trip to Pensacola Beach May 22-25. We will be fishing for large sharks from the beach. Was wondering if anyone had input for where to find bait in the area. Looking for Bonita, Mackerel, Jacks, Rays, Bluefish, etc. Is there a marina area where I might snag some kingfish heads?
I used to suffer from mental ilness. Now, I've learned to enjoy it.

You can fish off the beach, but at night the turtle police might run you off if your lights are too bright. There is a marina on he way from Gulf Breeze over to the beach on the right just over the intercoastal. You can check with Gulf Breeze tackle(beside Waffle House) about where to go, they usually know whats working at the time and right now they are open 24 7 Good Luck!

Most any evening you can get all the ladyfish and blues you want at the Pensacola Beach pier.
The bonitas show up from time to time, but most are already 'spoken for' ;-)

Hope this helps!

buying a raw chicken, big steak(raw too) or other large meats could attract some big stuff. most likely you'll end up hooking up to a massive tiger. they like unusual baits like that and of course the usual junk layin on the bottom. other than a tiger, second bet would be a HH or 3rd a MO.
