Well all I can say is that if you are gonna scrap at a city owned pier - doing so WITH A BSO on your team is the way to go !

Gonna have to walk on over at lunch and hear about this....

the funny thing about this is that the whole thing started because some lady caught a king and this guy thought it was a spanish. well the whole argument escalated from there and eventualy the guy swung at ken. ken deflected his punch and stuck the guy in the face and put him on his ass and then marco grabbed him. the guys friend ran over to help and zuki closlined him and got him in a headlock. the guy was reaching back and grabbing zuki and zuki kept saying "let go of me man" to which the guy responded "no, your gunna hit me." this went back and forth for a while and eventually the second guys wife ran over and grabbed a fillet knife off the cutting table and swung it at zuki yelling "let go of my husband" but she missed and sliced her husbands arm open. then my friend cody ran and told nevil what had and the police and paramedics were called. crazy stuff.

This is what could happen when trying to take the law into your own hands - Ironic thing is that Ken IS the law....

I USED to get fired up about undersize catches etc and have dumped a couple fish ( caught by others ) overboard. Noawdays - I just inform em If they do not want to listen, I just call FWC - NO fish is worth a knife wound AND there are some crazy folk out there....

SnaperSnatcher - this is basically the same story I heard from Vernell. I however was not there.

They take their Mackeral fishing serious at that pier. I learned that one day when we went down there looking for Cobes, wont make that mistake again. Didnt know they took it that serious though.

juno chris some they dont really its just that some googans who go to the pier and sling squid on trolley, eventually get lucky and catch a mack, and they treasure it as if it was a wiining lottery ticket. Zach went to 7/11 eatpop

When the blue runners are thick, Deerfield Pier is more dangerous than Detroit!

Fished DFP today from 4 to 6:30 pm. Saw one keeper king caught & an undersized cobia that was let go. Besides that it was dead. No bait around.

I Was ON the beach today - Conditions looked decent - I caught fleas and saw sardines getting hammered - there was wind and chop - BUT it did look clear...

During the time I was at dfp I saw no one bring up any bait. I myself walked 3/4 of the pier looking for bait. Worked a sabiki set & nothing. I believe the keeper king was caught on a small grunt.

Lots of blacktips could be seen swimming close to the mid reef- very calm and clear - QUITE slow !

I used to fish that pier religiously but its really gotten out of hand out there from the recent posts i've read with the trolleys, etc. I've always tried to be an ambassador and educate "non informed" fishers but when people start wielding fillet knives, im beginning to think its more of an exercise of futility going against the basic principles of fishing: to have fun and interacting with your fellow fishermen.

C'mon Sarge - Lets be real here - I have seen more fights at bars than piers - you swearing those off too?
