Lost Sunglasses

Post by BEOWULF »

Hey guys, I know this is a long-shot but...

Did anybody find a pair of sunglasses at Pompano Pier on Sunday? I left them laying on the railing.

Description: Model -Reptile Niger, wire frame, dark red glass lenses.

Buy a cheap pair and you will find it's impossible to lose them. Little old ladies with walkers will run you down just to return them. I can't buy a good pair or an expensive mobile phone for that matter. I hate losing my expensive chit. Drives me nuts

Glad I am enjoying mine today while I still have them.
The cheap ones don't compare in vision or protection. But I still keep some around in my truck.

We got Clarisses a nice costas probably two years ago she rarely wears them when we go fishing that aggravates me. So I agree Karen is going to notice and say something.

You know, as I'm shopping for replacements, I'm starting to see this as a blessing in disguise. You see, my lost shades were glass. Well, I was always a bit nervous on the pier with these, given all the jigs and Gotchas flying around during Mack season, not to mention sinkers year-round!

Even high quality glass (like my old pair) is still dangerous out there. I'm getting NXT lenses now, the highest impact resistance and nearly equal to glass in optical quality. My eyes are worth it! Found some on sale at $110, so it's not too much of a hit.

Trust me y'all, you want at least polycarbonate lenses in a fishing frenzy. :compress: :reeling: :nilly: You can get that for under $20.

I lost a pair of Costas hunting in December, it was almost dark and I had them on top of my head, and went through a thick palmetto thicket that brushed them off. Didn't even notice they were gone til I got back to where I was parked.

Went back to the same area a week later and was walking, and happened to see them half buried in mud. 1 in a 10,000 shot of getting them back, as I wasn't walking on a trail or anything, just through the middle of a swamp.

Hey, Nelson, I lost something the other day and I hope I can get it back. My glass eye accidently fell out of its socket while I was jiggin' for macks. The pain was killer but it was kinda loose. I had also lost my Florida Sportsman Official Magazine tinted Ray-Bans with reflecto lenses, so I wasn't able to "catch" the eye while wearing my shades. Lucky for me, my doctor suggested I cover the back half of it with cork so if it ever hit the water, it would float. Anyway, whenever you're near the water, please "keep an eye out" for my floating glass/cork eye. You'll recognize it right away because it will be looking back at ya. Oh, and it's brown, not blue or green or hazel. Thanks, buddy! Out.
Those other fish must be smart. We caught all the stupid ones!
