I believe what Zebco is saying is that there aren't any macs out there right now.

Fished today from 11 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.with my son Boatless Cuban AKA Gofish JR. Like Zeb said there aren't any macs except for the 24 inch Mac my son caught last week

The macs for now are few and far apart and mostly juvenile. The water was clear no current barely a breeze. There was bait everywhere from the entrance to the T. Snook where everywhere lots of big ones all day long. Some blue runners here and there if you wanted them. Barracuda's of all sizes and saw one Tarpon swimming through about 4 ft in size. My son managed a 35 inch Snook and a 29 inch Snook which is the one in the pic. I heard there were several over slot Snook caught before I got there. Other than that there was nothing happening. On a positive note it seemed like they had pressure cleaned the T so it was tolerable being out there. I also saw what looked like 3 city officials walking the pier.

Went early off the beach this AM. Lots of Pilchards, but no fish, except for a short snook that the guy on the pier threw back...after he had of out of water for 20 minutes!!!!

I doubt that since I was also fishing the pier down in the front early and seen nothing of the sort.

Caught @ 8:10 PM this evening at Hollywood Beach, about 10 yards from shore in the breakers. 29", caught on a gold & red Rattletrap.

Went to the pier today with Get The Net and Boatless Cuban I was surprised to see there was hardly anyone there when we arrived at about 7:00 A.M.

Walked out to the T and found no one fishing for blue runners, how weird

Get the Net caught a slot Snook at 32 inches I caught a keeper mangrove for dinner and Boatless Cuban managed to lose 3 sabiki's so at noon we were out. Other than that 2 small mackerals came up and that's all folks. Oh forgot to mention the Macks they were caught on trollies...They're Back

Looks like a bunch of Gypsies at some kinda swap meet! Somebody's gonna get an eye poked out, for sure.

You guys should start carrying a pair of binos in the car/truck, and check it out before you pay to park. You could end up saving a little cash. Or, you could open a franchise selling nose plugs! Me? Hell, no! I ain't there! Don't care what they're catchin'. Not even worth loading up on bait.

With Bluefin Tuna sushi going for $75 bux a bite, blue runner and pilchard sushi is a treat!

I get bummed when I have to share the beach with other fisherman, I couldn't imagine dealing with sheyot. However I've more or less stopped going to Dania on weekends since at sunrise there are at least 9 other dudes fishing the surf. It wasn't so bad before the season opened, now it's just annoying.

I just pray for wind and rain to keep most of the other people away and improve fishing.

Sorry to derail your topic guys but heres my report for today

fished from 1100-1600h. Calm almost flat seas nothing couple of runners for the first 2 hours, snook not biting solid pilchards almost the whole lenght of the pier. After 2 hours wind picked up and thats when the fun started. Non stop top water action from runners, jacks, ceros and spanish macks. Manage to get 2 spanish, 2 ceros, 2 mangroves snapper, and tons of runners/jacks! Bite was still hot but i have to pick my kid from school. Didnt see any mullet.... Once again guys my apologies for derailing your conversation!
