The rails appeared a bit wavy to me, if that is what you are referring to.

Yea that is the first time I have seen that happen with that camera. Something must have happened to it one of those nights on the beach.

Miserable day at the pier. Fished from 6:15A.M. till 12:30. Bait was a pain in the a$$. One Snook(38") was caught off the T and 3 others lost. 3-4 nice Mackeral caught. One undersized Mutton and Blue Runners. Logan caught a 3' Black Tip. That was about it. Way too many googans. I was crossed continuously by the same couple of guys fishing chicken rigs and using braid. Eventually I just started cutting their lines. Guys couldn't cast straight to save their lives. It's not often fishing isn't relaxing.

Sorry to hear that JAMES but that is the reason I don't fish for snook opening week or fish the piers on a holiday. At least Logan managed to catch something .
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

I knew it was going to be bad, but damnit man it was baaaaad. When I left BBJames said there were 280 people on the pier. I wasn't necessarily going for Snook. Just happened to be the only day I could get out.

as you guys have read the pier was crazy today. we had over 280 people on the pier at one time in the day. there was a small cobia caught in the am, blue runners, blues, macks, moonies, jacks and snook caught today. i personally saw 4 slot snook leave the pier and heard from the pier owner that there were atleast 10 others landed but i cant vouch for that #. bait was nowhere to be seen. you really had to work for it. water was a dark green with a good chop and some good sized waves

James did you see the Cobia catch and release? There was a black guy (and his girl) fishing the T early on who said oh man I just missed a Cobia, but no one else saw it so.... Just curious if that's the story you heard. He was also the one that nailed the nice Macks.

The small cobia was caught and released around the first hut and it was no more then 20 inches long. There is no way that 14 keepers were caught yesterday, no way. Maybe 4 or 5 at the most in the morning and how ever many you saw in the afternoon while working. There werent any keepers at the end and almost all the fish in the surf were oversized.

Got my first keeper of the season today, 5 or 6 keepers caught total today at the pier. The water turned a really dark redish brown.

Other then a few snook the fishing at Juno has been bad. A Ladyfish, Jack, or Blacktip every once in a great while but nothing steady. The bait has left this dirty water, the only bait is dork jacks and you have to work hard for them. The occasional mullet school, but those are hard to predict. It be nice if water would clean up some, but that doesnt look to happen with the coming storms.

Hit the pier after the labor day madness and all I can say is that the snook fishing
on tues was on fire, there were schools of mullet migrating south and everytime
you put one down the snook would suck it up.Also the mutton snapper were going crazy today, poeple were catching them on their pompano rigs, not many keepers
but they should start bitting solid with the rough weather coming thru.Macks were also plentiful and so were the pompano and pompenette.
