You are welcome -Actually Tommy Caught it and gave it to me. By the time I left ( Early, as My pop was not too into a long day and had a long drive back to Dunellon ahead of him) I did not want to just mess with one to Clean, Cook etc - We just wanted to screw around a bit with the sunrise. Besides still had plenty of Ceviche left over...lol

Very Nice meeting you Cudaman & Crabman, Xtheline, Buffalo Pete and good seeing Tommy again. Lomax - did not know that was you over by the house -I Will say Hi next time. You guys seemed to be doing well, consistantly there. Also good to meet Pompanopier. PP, you are a familiar face in my last few years fishing at pompano pier, though I do not believe we ever formally met before. Was that your son gathering sandies in the surf? I have seen him fishing at Pompano often as well.
Quite a fisherman for his size and age if memory serves...

Just got back from fishing a few hrs, it was a little windy and very crowded, I tried to get on the T but too many people. Didnt catch anything in the few hours I was there, unlike friday... Oh well

What's up boatless fisherman? It was great meeting you at Anglins this morning. My buddy's name is Roy. He is the one that caught the grouper you took a picture of. We just got back right now. We pulled a marathon today. Fished for about 12 hours. As for the report; Bait fish were scarce throughout the day, at least at the end of the pier. Saw a lot of Mackrels in people's bucket when I walked around but there wasn't much action on the end after the morning. Other than the grouper Roy caught I pulled out three yellowtails (11", 10", and the last was about 8"). Someone caught a nice AmberJack. It looked to be about 22". Hope to see you again soon.

Sorry for the late report but better late than never

Got to anglins at around 1am monday morning and was introduced to a couple of the boatless crew by Tom. Nice meeting you guys,and thanks for the tips, sorry if I forgot your names ,I am better at remembering faces

Well, as I was telling Roofer Dave and Boatless later on in the morning, I think I will have to change my name from Bluerunner to Grunt King as that was all I was catching all night long.

While Dave was racking in a bluefish,Lady fish, 28" Cobia, what appeared to be a shark or another cobia that broke off and a Grouper that was probably just over 12". (Yes he released the illegals back into the water:) All this between 2am and 7am.
I did manage to hook two undersized mottons (one just about an 1/8 below the legal size, I also hooked 2 undersized yellow tails just after 7am and that was it. Oh, I did catch a keeper grove earlier in the dark.
Not much action going on when I left at around 8am.
Maybe next week I'll try again when I'm off work or on my way home one of these mornings.

Went yesterday afternoon caught a few jacks and mostly those annoying houndfish. Does anybody know if you can use the hound fish for cut bait of if there is any restrictions on them

You can use for Bait and no restrictions, they are a last resort for bait though.

Report for the Wednesday Morning:

I got there about 5am, tossed out a bottom rod with Ballyhoo and then Jason caught a Big White Grunt and I tossed it out on the 4/0 and started throwing my Mack rod, had a few Snakes"baby kings" come up on it on the North side switch over to the South and the Bottom rod took off and got it in and had a 2lb Bluefish, started again throwing the mack rod and had a spanish chase it and that was it, then the 4/0 took off, grabbed it and locked it down and the little fishy took off Zzzzzzzzz fought it for a little bit maybe 15 minutes and it jumped onces and it ended up being about a 60lb to 70lb Black Tip Shark I got it striaght up and down and popped it, the water looked great but no current "that is not good", I left about 10am so maybe something happened.

I then went by Dania Pier go to that thread to read my nothing report.

... I lasted till about 1. It sucked then too. Eric had another Jaws. Cut again. We bailed soon after. Lamo with no current.

Paid my 2 bucks to take a walk on the pier today. Boatless you could have used your kite rod to fish shiners in the I 75 canal I think you missed your chance today. Ripping north current saw a bonnet head and a jack. They said there were jacks and croakers around in the a.m. Water looked like a cup of coffee and the waves were 6 - 8 easy ..... just glad I DIDN'T GET UP EARLY TO TRY TO FISH TODAY. Should be good if the wind and water let up as the blue water was almost within casting distance.

got there just after 7 left a little after 8am....playin senior skip day from work.... the "breeze" was up, the seas too. Saw birds crashin way out infront and to the North. Threw a gotch non stop only to catch 1 jack when Tom came to my rescue....I was about to get mugged by a hungry pelican for my 1lb fish. Conditions "looked" better then they produced. Good meeting you Tom, you must have caught that monster after I left?!?!?

I was laughing at that bird coming after your Jack. He is just hungry, partially injured and unable to catch food.
I was at the pier till about 7:30. Too dead. Caught a few Croakers. Water was no current, and outwash of beach weeds. Total waste of time. I laughed when I called the pier this afternoon and they lied and said they killed fish today. Then I laughed even harder when they told me the pier was just shut down again. I swear, it is a neverending story.

Just got back from Anglers. Got a couple of nice blues lot of people catching jacks in the afternoon. Put a live Blue on a balloon and got about a 100 pound bull. Fishing Slowed around 5 and we went home.
