So since it doesn't effect your fishing it isn't a big deal, not the stance I thought I would ever see a cause head like you take.

Chris, James don't care since there is no Moonfish to fish for at Juno.
The Judge asked the prostitute, "At what point did you realize you were raped?"
The prostitute replied (wiping away tears), "When the check bounced."

Re: Juno Fishing Pier Reports 2009
lol I have never once fished for moonfish.
My causes are animal / enviroment related. Usually saving them not allowing for them to be caught and possibly killed. I've never much understood fishing for sharks from the pier anyways, but that's just me.

Re: Juno Fishing Pier Reports 2009
Friday - I got three kings and there was three or four more caught. They were all between 8 and 12 pds. There were also schools of big Jacks (20pds+) coming by here and there.
Saturday - I caught some undersized snook, a couple big Jacks, and another King about 10pds. There was a good amount of big jacks and a few Bonito running around.
Sunday - Nothing, nothing, and more nothing.
When the greenie schools come in there is fish, when they dont its a freaking desert out there. Today they didnt show up at all.

Re: Juno Fishing Pier Reports 2009
A couple undersized snook today and one oversized, a few pomps, and then right at close the kings came in pretty good.
Thats what the pier got today, I couldnt get a snook bite for anything but I did get two kings (a little 5 pd snake kings and one about 15pds.)

6 or 7 kings caught this evening. All between 5 and 10 pds. A couple short snook and some macks. Pretty slow overall.

Re: Juno Fishing Pier Reports 2009
Not much over the weekend. Big Will caught a 37pd Permit on saturday and there was a few big jacks here and there but it was pretty slow.
The afternoon before the storms showed up the kings came in. I got one about 15pds and a 3 pd spanish in the hour I was there. There was about 10 nice hits while I was there but those trolly rigs dont land fish so my fish and Steve Hart's (both caught on flat lines) were the only two landed.

crazy!!!! Again.. How do you guys do it.. lol. Fishing is supposed to be a relaxing time.. man vs. fish, not man vs man. This is exactly why I don't fish the piers. Joe Wejebe-Sosin-Paveramo-Hemingway-Wiggins...... you can have the pier.
My .02.. Obviously there is/are exceptions... but after observing for myself and reading about Deerfield and Pier-Aff post... what the *$*#*# - come one guys!!!! Damn...

Re: Juno Fishing Pier Reports 2009
I know exactly who that was. There is only one person on the pier that has an ipod out there. He actually made a shirt that had a picture of a cobia, the weight, and date it was caught on it. I guess if you only ever caught one fish you might as well put it on a shirt.
The trollies are a joke, there is way too big of a variety of fish at Juno for them. What happens when you have two out and the big jacks or bonito run through. Even worse is when the summer snook move in, they will eat every trolly bait and you will never land one with how long it takes to catch up to fish on trollies.
In the last two weeks I have eight kings landed, and I only fish after work. There hasnt been that many landed on trollies by everyone else combined. There has been far more kings caught on big plugs then trollies in that same time.
Someone actually brought out the Jacksonville two rod trolly method this evening.

Re: Juno Fishing Pier Reports 2009
I have been going to Juno over the past couple of weeks and it is a pain in the ass fishing around those trolley rigs. If enough people complain, would the pier management do anything? The water is crystal clear. Most of the larger fish can be spotted when they swim near the pier. Why can't we do it like they do on the panhandle piers and don't allow the trolley rigs or set lines especially off the end of the pier.
I was out there Sat am for only a couple of hours and got frustrated and left. Trolley lines were running off the end and angled toward the Northeast. You couldn't cast anywhere.

lol bolo is a line with a piramid sinker weight depends on current then you cast that sinker where you think the fish will bite .then you get a snapswivel clip to line other side of snap tide a leader of mono with an albright knot to wire and two hooks for ballyhoo then you let bait go clip to line with sinker hope you understand this explanation they show drawings on previous comments good luck nyBluefish in ny wrote:Alright...googan question here.. what the heck is trolley?

You should know better than to ask so early. You have to wait for JunoChris to get home with his nightly report.

I got a couple of short snook before work and then a nice 31 1/2 keeper after work. There was a lot of macks in the morning but no kings. The swell got really big this evening and there wasnt any fish around after 6. It was a huge swell that started outside the bouy line when I left.
