Im hoping by sunday- monday we should see some nice activity...as for right now, im sharpening my knives for battle.

winds 26mph ene, waves of 2-3 ft rough surf

The waves must have been crashing over the tee and into the parking lot!!

Fished today from 4:30 till 7pm. Small grunts is all we caught and all I saw caught. Talked to a couple of guys who said there was a fair bluefish and snapper bite earlier in the day.

Word is the current is smoking
Making it hard for the fish to stay in one spot at a time.
I think it's safe to say we need more East in our winds and less North.
Still makes for decent waves 60 days out of the year.
Didn't see much bait in the water compared to last weekend, I think they've scattered some.

Hauling tail to the south it is..... Hopefully bringing some good things our way....

This is the time of season we need to deal with the winds for awhile.
It should drop off loads of fish in a couple days.
Without a dought, we needed these winds for awhile.
If we wait, they will come.

You can always just stop at Publix and buy a fish, then tell the wife you caught a nice Salmon at the pier.

lol......it couldn't be much worse than the ppl who leave bonita, jack, blues, and ect on the deck all day during the hot spell.

went fishing from 7am-2pm. water was really cloudy. alot of jacks were caught and mackeral all good size. came home with 5 macks biggest was 5lbs 13oz.

got bak from fishing fished from 1:45-5:30

got there noticed mackeral flashing in the water and everyones was catching them ,they were nice sized !!
my friend told me got there kinda late, so i tye my leader clip on a yo-zuri 2 casts then bamm mack!! the first was around 3lbs not to big!
Bite slowed down and the jacks where hitting so kept on casting the yo-zuri got a couple then the mack came back!
cast bam another mack this one being a bit bigger!! around 4lber. people were mostly catching them on live baits but not me !! also many were caught on bottom rigs!
then I cast and suprisingly i caught a small king 23in released swam away perfetcly!
switched to live bait(at the begining they were everywhere) for a little bit caught 2 4lb jack and kept on getting cut by mackeral even on my damn long shank!
got tired of it bring the yozuri out again! bamm big mack this one being around 4lbs and 14oz.
switch back to live bait but now they moved to where i was fishing around the middle and the bite slowed down big time. Got cut around 12 times today.
also there were some bluefish being caught in the 2-3lb range and 1 big 4lb ladyfish!!
saw something rly strange today a mutton caught on a pomp rig wit a sand flea never seen that before!
overall it was a goood day of fishing!

Reel: Shimano Sahara 4000
Line: 10lb test
Leader: none wit lure but freeling 30 lb leader!

I went to the pier around 4pm.There was a lots of pilchards at the front.I was catching small Jacks with every bait I was casting out.I had 2-rods and it was impossible to fish with both of them at the same time.I never seen this much bait around for a loooooooong time.I also caught a small Snook just like the guy behind me.Also caught 1- small blue fish. It was a nice afternoon at the pier.Going back in the morning.

fished from 7am-12pm calm clear water, wind nw 5-6mph, surf temp 81 degrees, no bait around but mac bite is steady, most action on the t both left and right, artificials work well but floating rig works better, bait of choice mackerel belly and some dead pilchards from yesterday. good luck to all
