A friend gave me a good tip I want to pass along to those of you who tie or buy your flies with eyes on them. There is nothing more agravaiting than having one eye drop off after a few casts and screw up your retrieve.

Attach the flat holigraphic eyes with super glue or, even better with the newer super glue goo. Then, let the glue dry thoroughly.
Then coat the eyes with Sally Hanson Hard As Nails clear fingernail polish -letting it slightly adhere to the feather or fur around the eyes edge.

This really secures the eye to the fly. Try it.

I never thought of super glue. I always just use the Hard As Nails, or 5 Minute Epoxy. Interesting idea that I will definately be trying.

I usually use super glue for any eyes. It makes handling them alot easier if your coating the heads with epoxy or softex.
