Penn 320 gt2 help

I recently noticed the freespool lever on my penn 320 gt2 was sticking just before freespool, it seemed to be in freespool mode but I could still push the lever a bit more and hear the click to know it was really in freespool. I checked the lever components and they seemed fine. I opened up the reel and looked at the other lever instruments/springs inside and they looked fine too, I gave the reel and oil and greasing but it is still doing the same thing... Anybody have any suggestions as to what could be causing this? Here is the schematic and a maintenance breakdown which I have done to the last detail.

Any advice would be appreciated, aside from taking it to the shop which I will most likely do tomorrow afternoon if I can't fix myself

I should tell you were to put that reel but in time you will know where it so go but till that day....Head over to Alan Tani site. Most of those old salt guys are what i call the "reel engineer" and some of the things they have done to their reels are a test to that. You just might find the issues with your reel in that forum.

Lol it's a new model only about 2 yrs old and used maybe a handful of times so it's not going on the shelf yet... The first link I posted is an Alan tani instructional (it's a great breakdown) but ill check his site directly, but I followed it exactly and it still sticks. I'm going to try one more time and if it doesn't work I'm going to the repair shop.

IMO I have seen nothing but bad things from them reels. I brought one for catfishing up here had a 30lb cat strip it out I was pissed.

I knew it wasn't top of the line but it was too good of a price to pass up and needed a trolling reel for a trip... what turned me off now is the problem happened while it was sitting in storage and I went to put line on it and I noticed the issue, hell the freespool still works so it's still a working reel, I guess just now a backup/project reel to mess with.
I knew what you meant lol, I'm just not the type that throws things out I'd rather hang it on my wall for decoration

My guess would be that either part #11 or #12 is slightly bent.

I think you hit it on the money...I've taken it apart 4-5 times and not a damn one did anything change... It's gotta be a bent part...Im gonna take it to the shop and have him look if they agree it's a bent/broken part I'm just gonna order it and replace it myself

I'd find out how much the part is might be cheaper to buy a new reel than fix it.
