Any 12/0 rods around $200 or less?

Post by rsieminski »

Finding a rod for this reel has become a pain in the azz! Anything suitable for around $200 or less?

How about:
Star Rod Plasma Big Game Stand Up Rod PSUR4010060
Seeker BTS 660XH-6' RS/RT Stand Up Rod 40 (60) 100 lb
Tsunami 50-100lb Big Game Fishing Rod TSTSU-5950R

Any ideas?

I have several older 130lb class rods that I might be willing to part with. They are currently attached to my 12/0 and 14/0 reels

the seeker xxxh6463 black steel has a big reel seat but it cost $400+, I have heard that the 5'6 Ugly stick 50-130 will fit a 12/0 also for $159

yes...i now have a team oldskool shark rod ( Same one we use).... a 8'blank, number 3 machine alum seat...7 foulproof guides, 12" fore grip, set-up to my fishing specs (recomended) or yours, it doesnt matter and a gimble selling for $ 200.00 plus tax..
i have a lighter version ( up to a 9/0) same spec's set up selling for $175.00 plus tax...i can make that one 7' or 8'....

we can build anything you want with any type of guides, reel seats ect...above is my rock bottom econo shark model that will look super classy and get the job done very well, for years we only used foul-proofs and many still do....

you can pick any color threads from Gudebroud color chart ...we stock them all...we do any wraps, except weaves...were American and i dont work cheap, but will keep a sincible cost to helping anyone to get a rod they need so they can get out on the water...need a 50% depost and i take credit cards, cash,... and paypal comming soon ....no checks unless i know ya...thats in typed in stone...

i give a life time warrenty on the blank, and workmanship i.e epoxy, threads wraps, reel seat from spinning exct....ya break a insert out of a frame ...thats not covered.... but me being the blank builder and the doing the set-up over seeing every step...you will never have a problem....

just made a new model this week, its based on a calstar/ seeker 6465XH and made it 7'4 "...same action just extended at the butt section. we use the hightest quatity of epoxy resin in our cloth, unlike the things comming from overseas. this rod was designed to fish a 9/0 on but you can fish a 12/0 as well ....i like the recoil of the blank on this model, its real quick...price TBA later....

i will only build custom shark blanks and custom shark rods and nothing else custom...i have my niche and thats it....

hope we can help ya, its tournement time, and ive been very busy trying to get my doors open for buisness, and im now open....

im building a pair of the most expenisve shark rods ive seen! there pretty rad all i can say...... using the Best of everything.... back to work....mike
