Fin-Nor OFS95 with 70lb braid

After reading so much about shark fishing, I've been dying to try it. I've read a lot good things about Fin-Nor OFS95 for shark fishing. So I went to bass pro and bought 1 last weekend. I just want to know up to what size can I handle if I spool it with 70lb braid? Or should I go with a stronger line since I'm new to this type of fishing? I would like to read everyone's opinion.

I would spool the reel with 65lb PowerPro. You will be able to fit 700yds of 65lb PowerPro on it. With 60lbs of drag and the right rod, you could land yourself a decent shark, maybe up to 9ft. The biggest I've caught so far on my OFS9500 is an 8ft Nurse.

What's the right Rod a Breakaway 13ft HDX? Where can I find them cause I couldn't any at bps?

That's the perfect rod for it, you can buy one at cabelas or www.breakawayusa.com. Make sure to buy the spinning version.

a 6-7' solid glass heavy spinning rod with gimbal but, would be much better than a longer surf type long cast rod. The longer the rod, the more the fish has the advantage, as far as leverage is concerned. Unless it's a nurse shark and you have bohemuth arms, and maybe not even then will you get a 9'er in with a 13' rod. If you play him too long, he'll die on the release, especially a HH. Solid glass, 6-7' is the way to go IMO. That 8' ugly stick, would work too, but I don't think they make it anymore.
