I have been crimping like this for quite a while and have never had a single problem. I just thought i would share!
The little knot you create practically absorbs all of the stress that would be originally redirected to the crimp, this can prevent slipped crimps or a broken cable and lost fish.
How to make it:
First you have your cable and whatever it is your going to attach it to(swivel, hook, etc.).
Stick your cable through the eye of the object like a normal crimp.
Bring it back down through the eye a second time and put your cable over and through the loop that has been created.
Then put the cable through the loop a second time without going through the eye.
Now pull your cable from both sides until your loop becomes tight. Sometimes the loop will bend a bit and become awkward looking, this is fine, it wont affect the strength.
I Just thought you guys might want to give this a try! Hope i made explained myself well! Sorry about the pictures, they were taking with a phone!
