WPB BRIDGE ON 45st or blue herion i think??

My brother in law had taken me to a bridge by his house a while ago,i think it was on 45 st or blue herion.It is on the way to singer island.There were alot of people fishing it when we were there.I just fished for bait there,but was woundering if any has sharked fished there and if it would be any good as i am going to spend the weekend up in wpb with the family at his house and wanted to try some thing new for sharking in west palm beach.I dont want to lug the yak so the beach is a no go.If any one has any bridge spots up there not to far from loxahatchie for sharking it would be great to share.Thanks Nick

I have tried shark fishing on the Blue Heron bridge to no avail. It has been a few years since I fished there but there used to be a lot of jacks, macks, and bait there. The sharks would show up there on the incoming tide. Mostly blacktips with the occasional bull seen swimming around. There used to be a lot of anchored boats on the southside as well as the north plus the bends around the bridge for them to break you off on. I hooked a few decent size ''sharks'' there but lost them all to the anchored or docked boats there. I always thought of walking the beach on the south side to the further west high rise bridge and drifting a bait out on the outgoing tide there as the water is deepr and there are less obstructions there as well but never did it. All of my info is a few years dated so hopefully someone that has fished there as of late can comment. With the fishing boats cleaning fish in the area, the bait and fish there, and the closeness of the inlet some sharks have to show but landing them would be the challenge. Best of luck.

lol. that sucks. when ever i went down there i went with 3 or 4 friends and we all carried. there are some sharks in there but you dont land many.

fla shark hunter. instead of shark fishing from bridge, could you shark fish from an inlet. you've probably done it before but don't you think it's better than a bridge. people at Sebastian inlet do it all the time. they use a plastic bottle with a glow stick inside at night. the bottle acts as a float. then they use fishing line to tie the bottle to the mono leader, after that, the bait and bottle is slung out. the outgoing current does the rest. it takes the bait far out away from your standing point and into the ocean. this technique is actually a good way to catch sharks. the only problem you'll face is boat traffic. fishing at night with slight turbulent water is the the idea. hopefully most boats stay inter coastal and don't come out of the inlets. Jupiter inlet i believe is open all night. that could be worth a try. or lake worth and boynton. boynton inlet on the other hand is closed at night. if im correct. too me it looks like an inlet to fish for sharks. if the park is closed, im sure people might be able to fish the north side of inlet if someone drops them off and leave. if i had the opportunity i shornuff would.
