piano wire

i've found some bulk piano wire, but dont know if all can be used.
Anyone ever use precision piano wire, it's alloy and not stainless and the gauge # is like 22, would this be equivalent to #22 in like american fishing wire.

Yo man piano wire work, buddy of mine caught a 9ft hammer usin it, but it rusts really quickly so dont plan on using it more than twice but ya its cheaper too he brought the whole spool out one night too for some reason and the whole thing went to s*#t so that was the last time he used it
