Not too many reports from 08/30, so here's min.e I was lucky enough to get out with my buddy this weekend in search of the bull reds. We started out at beach blvd ramp around 0700. We took a nice cruise north to a couple of spots were we had a few blowups, but not hookups. No too concerned because we had a goal in mind. We made it the the little jetties, anchored up, and soaked a few crabs for about an hour. Nothing was biting. "Where could they be", we wondered. So we head off to a few of our "go-to" spots just to kill time until the incoming came in. Fast forward an hour later, we head back to the little jetties. This time, there were about 20-25 boats parked. They all were out for the same thing we were.
Unfortunately, we never came across any bull reds. We didn't see anyone around us hook up either. I was fortunate enough to hook this bad boy. No bull, but a 28" redfish. Good enough for me.
Even though we didn't catch a bull, we still had a blast fishing.
