moving near flagler beach, need some help

im in the process of moving about fifteen min from flagler beach. i am coming from PA and i have alot of saltwater experience. i would really like to fish the pier for kings and such, fish from the beaches for sharks and find some good snook fishing. i am use to fishing in the carolinas and when i called the pier to ask a few questions, its totally different from what i am use to. so is there anyone out there who can give me some pointers just in general and some decent places to fish for snook. and do you have to have a lisence to fish inland waters and channels or beaches?

any info or help would be cool

yo what we do here for kings is throw out a 5/6oz claw we make them are sealf or buy em 5 dollars or more a pice then we make a rig and slide it down with live or dead bait snook fishing really blows here so idk what 2 tell u unless u got a boat beach fishing for sharks is prety good hear my friend caught a 12ft hammer and we get alot of black tips here i live in ormond beach witch has prety good beach fishing

I live in Palm Coast. I have only been fishing in saltwater about 6 months but I have had some luck. I know a few spots and I have learned a TON of information off of this forum.
There are'nt alot of fishermen this far north on the forum unless they are lurkers. Shoot me a pm and I can help you with what I know about local fishing around here, otherwise read the "how to" sections on here and ask away. There are no stupid questions.

i have fished they slide rig way for kings im just not a personal fan of it. i have all the tackle to do it, but i guess ill have to deal lol. i really want to get into some shark fishing off the beach and really anyhting in case i dont wanna go to the pier, i will fish for about anything. and i really appreciate the replys and help

Fishing should pick up in the next few weeks. Pompano are all around Flagler and they should start biting soon. I fish every where from St Augustine to Ponce Inlet regularly. So if you want to PM me I can give you some helpful info for Snook in our area.

i fish the mantenz bridge some times last time i went i got spolled buy a nice spinner ripd 500 yards of braid but i got it all back my knot pulled thank god

Fishing hasnt been that great at the pier because of all of the cold fronts.
The "regulars" probably thought that you were a "googan" tourist. Especially since bike week has been here. Fishing should pick up VERY soon.

I havent been fishing there that much at all.

Just hit it up a couple of times since I have lived here. But I only recently started fishing hard since winter time started. I have been keeping up with the reports though and since fishing is going to start picking up I will be going ALOT more.

I know all about shitty gear that is what I have had most of the time that I have been down here.

Make sure and post a report from your trip.

I have been trying my best to meet some solid fishermen down here to get the 411 on some good fishing but I keep running into the "your not from around here are ya" syndrome since I am from TN. haha

Thats ok though. If I have to learn on my own, not a problem.
I havent had too bad of luck since I have been down here. Maybe we can get together one day.

I just bought a digital camera so I can start posting reports on here w/pics.

Maybe between you, me, and Inshore Angler we can get Flagler some respect on the Boatless Fishing Board
