I haven't fish freshwater since my bass tournament days. That was like 12 years ago. Did you submit it to IGFA?

I can't find the flyrod record. The world record if 4lbs and I'm sure the flyrod is significantly lower than that. Blue talapia are a pain in the arse to get to eat.

How much did yours weigh?

I have caught bigger tilapia than 4 lbs by my house, however not on fly. Why would you target them? I have always caught them by acident(snagged) or when catching bait.

you would target them when you see a big one, have a little fly on your fly rod, and are very bored. i dont know how big it was. No scale

Thats the same reason I don't target trout anymore. Even the bigones just flop around on the surface.

It's OK if you like catching small fish that barely put up a fight.

They fight ok. The only freshwater fish that I really enjoy are snakehead and big peas. Also pacu but i don't see those often enough

I've caught trout in the 8-9lbs mark. They flop around like stupid bass.

Big tilapia. I let Mike use my fly rod a while ago and he caught a big on like that. Looked it up and I don't think they keep line class/tippet records for them.
