My boy's first LMB

Please let us know the tackle you used, the artificial or bait, and your technique. Please post pictures with you, fish, and tackle if possible, of your fish caught after November 1, 2006.

My boy's first LMB

Last weekend we were fishing on the bridge on the lake behind my house and he was just looking to catch anything. He was using a very small hook and bread. There was a lot of Bluegills suspended about 10 inches below the surface. He hooked a decent sized bluegill, at least 5 inches long and as he was pulling it out of the water.....this monster jumped out and tried to get it. He looked at me with a huge smile and said he was gonna toss it back in. When he did, it landed on a lily pad and it flopped over and as soon as it hit the water the LMB attacked it with full force. The force knocked the bluegill off the hook and he was able to set the same hook on the Bass. After a short fight he was able to land it. We didn't measure or weigh it but it was approx 6lbs and nearly 24 inches long. After unhooking it I looked in its mouth and it still had the bluegill in there. He was so excited that he stopped fishing for about 15 mins!!!
