Caught this fish in a pond using a 5 ft jensen luhr ultralight rod with quantum reel spooled with 6 lb mono. tied a #10 panfish hook directly to end of line. Bait was a small live bluegill hooked through the upper lip and out nostril. I popped out an eyeball to give a scent trail and bid the little fella bon voyage. A few minutes later ... fish on!

My mom seasoned and pan fried it with potatoes. It was delicious.
