lost grouper 2x

about 2 month ago fishing solo at C2 relling in a very nice grouper "some" other fish atack my grouper and left me only the head wich i bring in for prove of the tale and to make a soup couse wight 3 1/2 poud..yesterday fishing at the same place with the family happend again but this time was a lot bigger. im prety sure it was a tarpon but wonder if they have the tooth to make such a clean cut. what do you think?

Barracuda or shark.
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

Probably a big cuda. Be careful keeping the head, FWC could give you a ticket for that.

Nope all fish must be landed in whole condition.

We had a large cuda do a couple of drive bys on a jack while we were getting the net ready last weekend.

did i mention that i get 2 others groupper 17 and 15 inch but not attack on them just to the legal one.
in our way back i brough the subject and my son said "dad im getting angry now more that when happened"

Yeah, some people take milk jugs and buckets to do their business in, when fishing from those bridges. Always wear gloves when picking up trash from there and thanks for doing so :toast:

Too bad on the grouper and yes you will get a ticket for keeping just the head.

great time folks, after 730 pm we move to long key bridge were we (me) catch 3 mangroves and 1 mutton, i was happy to see at C2 a family from alabama five kids no girls
they knew noting abt fishing but you can tell they were having fun.
