Field Trip from Sanibel, to The Keys.

I'm a pier guy from SW FL. I have fished The Sanibel Pier for 25 years, as a matter of fact I really dont bother fishing anywhere else. Theres just no need to. I have recently won a 3 night stay down at Conch Key Cottages, In Marathon, through my Real Estate Office, and was wondering if anyone could give me some bridge/pier suggestions down in that neck of the woods. Ive got spinning tackle, to 4/0's to multiple 6/0's on 8' B-50's, and just trying to plan accordingly. Have a lantern, a 15 gallon drop bucket, and 10' cast nets. Im not afraid to spend hours catching bait for the right place, and so forth.. Any help would be greatly apprecieated, as I will totally be a fish out of the water down there. I know some of you from the classified forums, and would consider most, if not all, of you pro's. Captain's drive a boat, and Pro's just ride the rail. Thanks Again. -Jeremy

I'm leaving this open ended, so feel free to share whatever you feel. Never really made it to the keys fishing, lived in florida my entire life.

I'm not a key's bridge guy but I'm sure they will chime in. From the way I've seen yall fish over on Sanibel the same tactics should work down there on the bridges. Good Luck and have fun!!

Jeremy, if its a weekday you are going to do it then id most likely be in, the keys to me is my home for fishing and like you said, I dont bother going anywhere else but honesty id say 98% of my fishing is done off those bridges

you def sound like you got a straight head on your shoulders man and you need that down there, I love it. Around that time jan-feb the weather will be something to look at if we have some steady cold in the keys, a string of heat or cold fronts, reason is to time the bite.

I just enjoy being out there period, brutal heat, cold, or rain so to me its all good.

Jan 5, 6, and 7th it is. Any suggestions? Bridges or Piers down there, ect. I know there are a ton of brisges, but I have never been. Thanks
