Niles bridge closure

Saw it while passing by this week. There was a section cut out as if there was gonna be a platform added. That is not likely since it is not part of the trail, but there was a large section cut out just past the barriers on the south end maybe around the 4th on the driving bridge.
That is the bridge with the towers just down from it if you seen the pics.

I hope the city is adding platforms and not thinking of shutting it down..Do they have it fenced off?
