Spent about 5 hours out there today (2pm-7pm). Got some decent bites (all on live shrimp), but threw everything back. Still not comfortable ID'ing some of the fish 100% even with the FLorida Saltwater Fish ID book. Included some pics with the measurements. Feel free to ID them for me and let me know if I threw back some possible dinner. LoL

PS Can't take credit for the Permit. Some other guy hooked that up on his first cast!

Nice report and mixed bag. I couldn't help but notice the snaps on your hooks though in a few of your pictures. You may get a lot more hits tying a simple loop knot that allows the live shrimp more freedom to swim as it doesn't have to lug that heavy snap around wth it. The fish down there get a lot of pressure so anything to make your bait look more natural may help you increase you catch. Just an obeservtion .

Been back at work so have not had time to realy sit down and respond. Thanks to all that have commented and given advice. As I've mentioned before I have plenty to learn and appreciate any and all suggestions.

Fishnfool73: Thanks for the tip! I figure you guys must buy you own wire and put your leaders together yourselves? I may have to look into doing that.

I have plenty more questions, so expect to be annoyed eveyone lol. This site is great and its already improved my fishing results. Glad Mr. BF "motivated" me to participate or else.

No wire....Buy fluorocarbon leader for the day time.
Yep...no wire for snapper. The less terminal tackle the better.

Use wire for sharks the lightest is for the snappers!!!!!!
