HEY! Good to see some people other than me ballsy enough to take on mingo wading! With the right wading shoes and jeans (there be lots of creepy crawlers whom have very sharp edges there) it can be one of the most rewarding wade spots there is... Keep in mind the water is chocolate colored, so expect to have all matters and kinds of sea creatures sneak up on you, as I am sure that sawfish did! Either way, very very cool! Ill be down for a trip to mingo in the coming months, ill take care of the gas for the boat and the live shrimp! I have fished it from a kayak, but its tons different when u can head out to snake bight etc! That being said, mad respect for doing what only a few fool hardy derelicts do!!! Keep them feet planted and shuffle, lest you end up with a 4 inch bayonet from an angry stingray through your foot! That Sawfish would not hesitate to give u a good slashing if you stepped on it either, and can you blame it?

Edit: oh yeah, DO NOT disturb them sleeping bulls, they usually sit right on the sand holes, as the water rushing through from the structure (in my theory) allows them to get oxygen through their gills without having to move. Think of it as a "water hose", all they gotta do is keep them gills going and relax. Not to mention its a PERFECT ambush spot for reds, trout and snook that frequent the holes for the same reason...
