SFL Native... How have I not gotten bit by the bug before?

Post by cswalker »

Hey everyone! Been lurking on here for about a week & decided to subscribe so i can filter by new posts.
I'm a Florida native that grew up ignoring my fishing parents anytime except offshore. Haven't picked up a rod in 15 years, and My wife an I got to go offshore again a few months ago. Haven't stopped since then. Was given 2 surf rods that are in OK shape, and gifted a women's Fleugaleugaleur casting rod (buddy thought it'd be funny). Joke's on him, i use that when i don't have time to get through a dozen shrimp. Been out as much as possible. Dania pier/whiskey creek weekend mornings/evenings, old griffin rd afternoons, that park on Sheridan sometimes, and constantly looking for other nice spots. If you've seen a Red-beard and a clueless face... that's me!

I feel like a god offshore (thanks to knowledgeable captains), but have been at a complete loss on my feet (seriously). My wife, however, seems to be a mangrove snapper chief. I'm starting to think i don't have a clue!

Welcome...

your post is funny one...and I like it

One difference between boatless and boat fishing is who to blame for when you don't catch fish...lol
