lurked for a while guess its time to introduce myself

Hey All,
I lurked around the forms for a while and slowly but surely I have made strides. First I lurked accountless, then I created an account and well now here I am introducing myself.
Love fishing any way I can get my hands on it. Most of the time I do some fresh water fishing with my son he loves to catching and releasing Large Mouth Bass.
Me personally I love ocean fishing, back in the day I use to do the overnight keys bridge fishing with a good buddy of mine. Now I do not get out as often as I like most probably due to everyone I know that I fished with has left the area in one form or fashion. This year I picked up some new vjig's and put together a vjig rod and reel combo (chaos jig rod and a battle II 6000) may need to change the reel out at some point for something faster, but I haven't had a chance to even test it yet to see if that is needed or not yet.
Any way just stopping in to say Hi and finally come out of the lurking shadows.
Current fishing rig setup (it works, not ideal but its what i got atleast for now lol.)
Vertical jig - Chaos Jig Rod w/ Penn Battle II 6000
Bottom rig - Penn Defiance 30 w/ Defiance 30
Light Cast - Ugly w/ Daiwa Mid reel
Looking to get get some lines wet (and hopefully tight).
Last note, this forum is awesome and extremely helpful, I hope I can add to some topics here and there
