New to Vero Beach

Hi all, my name is Frank, just moved to Vero Beach a couple of months ago from NJ, I'm semi-retired and took up salt water fishing as a hobby.
To date my fishing outing has been limited to the surf on the Atlantic which is a short walk from my home.
I'd like to expand my fishing trips to nearby locations and ask this forum to make suggestions where the best salt water spots are located in my area.

Please provide specifics with map locations and what species of fish I should prepare to catch and let me know what bait will be most productive.

I'd like to venture out to the Ft Pierce inlet, but not sure where the best spots are.....can anyone here let me know the hot spots are located in Ft Pierce inlet?

Thank you for any advice you can provide me to become a productive anger in Indian river county.

go to Sebastian inlet to the north. it beats ft pierce inlet. you can literately catch anything at that place.

Should I fish the pier in Sebastian?
Or are there better locations in the inlet?

go to the state park and fish the north jetty/pier. right now its open except the tip but its the only place to catch something decent around there. the ocean on the south jetty is great too fish. you can get snook, redfish, jacks, ladyfish, bluefish, sharks etc.

Will be gong there as soon as the weather gets a little warmer, looking forward to catch my first snook, I hear they are good eating.

and make sure you have a fishing license. getting caught without one is like a hundred 15 bucks.

Yes there are no fish at Ft Pierce go to Sebastian

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone here for providing me very helpful insight of where to fish. You probably saved me many non productive trip to Ft Pierce, I am planning a trip to Sebastian inlet after the holiday, will be getting my salt water fishing license at the Vero Bait shop today.

Went fishing today anyway, disregarding the choppy weather, caught a 20" red drum at the Sebastian inlet
