Roger laurez jr so flo angler
Well names roger laurez jr, im from miami fl 25 years old im a new competitive BASS angler and started a lil guide service for peacock cichlids and other exotics. I've been fishing just over 22 years now i caught my first peacock when I was 3 years old and my father mounted it it came in at 5 1/2 lbs in 2011 i caught a ten pound two oz peacock that was a possible state record i released the fish and still hunting for another ten pounder. I'm currently sponsored and pro staff for Rat-l-trap lures, DOA fishing lures, Creme lure co, reflexion Swimbaits, torque power rods, and lithium soft baits. I'm also promoting for razorfin apparel. Welcome to the forum. But I'd be careful boasting so much about your 10lb pea, we get it might be a record but obviously you didn't submit it and it's not. You should contribute info and help to educate other anglers first before getting on the high horse..just my 2 cents cuz others here might rip u apart for stuff like that
Anyways if u ever want to do some fishin i have a few spots with 5-8lb peas since u seem like an experienced angler

Hey I get it but it's my biggest accomplishment in freshwater let them rip away lol I didn't submit because I practice catch and release always I'll probably release the next ten pounder as well. No high horses here brother I'm only here to share and learn with other anglers.

Definitely hard to tell from a picture. 10lbs pea is a BIG pea... They dont get fat either like largemouth, they tend to grow out. I agree with GK between 2-4 lbs, I never bother to weigh or measure unless I am keeping which is VERY rare. I mean, it is what it is. I released one as well that Id peg at around 5-6 lbs, she was massive to me. I wish someone would have taken it as size reference is poor...
