A buddy and I are staying at a hotel just outside of Islamorada, we'll start at channel 2 and move further south depending on what the fish tell us to do.

Sometimes, problem may not be tackle but how hook is set, how much your line is frayed during the fight, and how long your rod is...

I hear ya. Last time down we learned the hard way that braid around bridges is NOT the way to go. We've got 4 days..I just want to catch dinner once !!

If you happen to catch lady fish, fillet it for bait and the fresh lady fillet (.5" by 2" size) would be killer bait.
Two weeks ago, I caught about 8 fish straight in a short duration. (7 grover and 1 jack).
Bite was so strong and I can even felt their chewing...
