Miami Report- last week mad wahoos & dolphin
There have been dolphin in shallow recently, like the double zeros line. Gaffers and heavy lifters. There has been decent scattered weeds and lots of floaters. Our boat picked up 7 wahoo on Sunday off floaters and the L&H got something like 10 that day too. All weehoo technically, none bigger than 15#. Triple tails on the floaters too, some good ones. The edge hasn't been too great, a few sails being caught, but the green water has been out deep. Sunday it was in 600' down by Fowey. The blackfin tuna are starting to show, live chum late in the afternoon. Tight lines.

Maybe they're not complete googs. We came up on some guys fishing a pallet, but only a few small dolphin on it. They took off and we dropped a vertical and went 4 for 6 on hoos off the pallet. Not everyone knows to throw a vertical jig under a floater, even if the don't see fish or bait on it. A lot of times the hoos will be 100' under the thing.

Those Wahoo forgot our invite to the wrecks we were jigging this weekend. We had a couple bull dolphin come near the boat but unfortunately they couldnt handle our 14in mullets and by the time we threw anything else at them they split lol we also saw some tuna busting baits but they were on a mission as we creeped up to the party. They knew better. Just one of those weekends I guess.
