Flamingo ENP birthday fishing trip...

Post by swordfish »

Headed out with my boy Ryan for a bit of a birthday skinny water backcountry red fishing. Left home at 5:30am, on the water by round 7am. Beautiful slick calm out... I made a quick video from the different clips (first time messing with video editing). So Ill let that do the talking... I will say this though, I am waiting on the pic of the red I caught, I had countless shots at fish throughout the day and Ryan was spot on as the captain with the poling and directing...

I came, I saw and was promptly conquered! Spooked a myriad of fish, missed a lot others and the biggest one broke me off... Total tally was 1 caught for me, about 10-15 for Ryan! These were mostly fish I failed to cast properly to, and he would pick em up LOL! I am a flats googan! Regardless, it was the most amazing B-day I have had in a VERY long time! Also, in the middle of the video you will see a decent sized lemon run right up to the skiff and turn at the last minute when she realizes we are there! Very cool stuff! :dude: :dude: :dude: :reeling: :happyfisherman:

Ty Nelson! Here is the pic of the one fish I caught... Keep in mind, there were tails literally around the boat for as far as the eye could see... I just need to learn to capitalize on them... Takes precision, speed and correct presentation!
