In search of Gold at Skyway 3/6/2016

Got to SSP at sunrise. It was Windy and the water was the green money color which is perfect for pompano! I fished a couple of hours there... Nothing... no one was catching anything for a couple of hours... Weird...
Anyways I keep jigging for pompano... then sudden something hit hard and mean. It started taking out a lot of line... thinking it was a huge jack. It made a dash for the bridge. This is not good... I increase the drag and play with it for a bit. It flashed at me... doesn't look like a jack.. Must be a permit! Turn out to be this nice size fish.

Was so happy! Drop the fish in the ice chest in my car and back to fishing.. Bang another one instantly! I tighten down the drag. Pop goes the fish... >.< I loosen up my drag and then cast out again and then Bam again.. another pompano. I was able to landed this one. Well nothing after this one. So 2/3 not bad at all.
A bunch of people came close to me when they see me catching the pompano but no one got a hit even... except for me. Guess I found the 1 school and hook all three of them.
I drove around to tried other places for pompano as it doesn't look good... My determination got me this.
Well if you want pompano... you can catch them now but don't hold your breath.. you got to find them and be really lucky. I just found them and was really lucky today.
