Tell me if I'm wrong, but if I heard right, the slot is getting cut to 28-32 ', and the bag down to 1 fish a day. I think if the existing laws were being enforced, that would be sufficient.

Yes it has changed, One (1) for harvest and the slot has narrowed. Enforcement of current laws is an issue only because there are not enough law enforcement officers. This is why the price of fishing licenses and snook stamps is going up. The elimination of license excemption for the shorebound saltwater angler should generate more money for LE. However this remains to be seen. There are some in the legislature that are trying to steal the extra money collected from the planned increases for there own gain. These theives want the monies for "pork". My suggestion is to make your local rep. aware of your veiw and to keep a close eye on the process as it procedes.
