Went down this past Feb 7th and 8th...not much to report about. caught a few croakers and lost a nice trout on fresh dead shrimp. No hits at all on my gold spoon or berkley's gulp shrimp. One sand trout off the pier on shrimp. No hits on the Saltist or Sealine with cut croaker or stingray. Hopingm to get a cruising black tip or ANYTHING...Got 2 blue crabs for my 19 month old...Finally after fishing near the oyster beds, it dawned on me....At low tide , gathered up 2 nice coolers of some of the freshest but rather small side, oysters I've ever eaten!! Put them on ice and headed home!!!

On a funnier note Rory and anyone who reads....I didnt expect to harvest wild oysters so my fingers were cut up a bit...Well When i took my 19 month old to daycare, you have to log in with an electronic thumbprint. I had 4 nice cuts on my thumb and it rejected my thumprint log in!!! Had to wait 5 minuted for a buddy to come in with his child to borrow his thumb so i could get in ,drop off my son and get to work!!
