stayed at St. george island state park with the family, first week of Dec. 09, caught really nice keeper redfish on the bay side, using fresh dead shrimp. high tides were best. low tides, the gulf surf produced lots of whiting, (running the first trough) also on fresh dead shrimp. fished both sides of the fishing bridge, (yes, both sides are open 24hrs, but no lights. There's more parking, and a boat ramp on the south or island side bridge) caught plenty of keeper speckled sea trout, (mind the fangs!!), and a mixed bag of small black drum, and after dark, catfish galore, using fresh dead shrimp, and some live shrimp. Fishermans choice in eastpoint had plenty of live and dead shrimp, & fresh cut mullet, etc. Weather wasn't the best, got rained on 3 days out of five, windy, cold, froze my gluteas maximus, and had a blast!! like to go back during better weather!!

That bridge is great in April and May.
