Good Snook Bite in PI Sound 09/03

Launched the yak late on Labor Day and fished the incoming..Tide was way lower than expected which is ideal where I was fishing. The fish were stacked in the deeper water (by deeper I mean 3'). Second cast of the day and I catch a 23" snook..next cast I get a 25" snook

Off in the distance I see baby tarpon rolling around so I make my way over there and start casting..Long story short, ended up playing with the poons for 45 minutes and went 1/4. No pics of the poon...let's just say I need a boga grip!

On the way back in I caught a couple of more dink snook and a nice 26" to close out the day

All of this in two hours of being on the water..Never went more than half a mile away from the launchsite!
