go to the SFWMD website and click on scientist and engineers and then click on live data. You will need the spillway/gate number for the location you want to check out. There is a map somewhere on the website with all the spillway and gate numbers. Just go to the nobhill spillway that fishnfool mentioned just before sunset and let out a live bait near the bottom, that is your best bet locally or you can hit the spillway along 595 and the davie road exit.

i am not sure how far you got on the website, but you have to click on live data, then click on water conditions regional real time data/status of water gates, then click on the area you want to see. You will have to find a map on the web site that shows the corresponding numbers of the spillways to the live data. Which spillway were you interested in?

according to the website (and all the rain) the flood gates are open on the C14, North New River and South New River canals... Stuck at work right now but better believe I'll be racing to get to them after work

I only give eyes on reports never used the site. Right now the one on SR7/Orange is closed. Likely due to high tide as it is flooded in west Davie and getting worse. I found a walking catfish in the Publix parking lot on 136 Ave and 84 last night. Not a bodyof water within a quarter mile of it.

Toss the storm into the boiling water, as close to the gate as possible and open the bail, let it roll down deep and hold on... You should get mollywhapped!!!! I love the storms, cheap and they catch fish... The key is to get it down deep and make it seem as though its a bait fish that got caught in the fray. Good luck!

No at all. The majority of the snook and tarpon I see caught in the area there are at night.Get a few live shiners from Competion Tackle and kill some time.

No problem. They are a nice shop that carries live shiners, crabs, pilchards, shrimp, etc. They had live runners last week so no doubt they will have live mullet I would think.

Was at the spillway on 441 Thursday throwing a spooltek for about 30 min on the way home with no luck. Saw an underslot float by belly-up and what was probably an overslot missing its head shoved between the chainlink fence.... F#&^ing GOOGS! The lack of respect kills me, but it just means the fish are there

I hope you dumped her body in the water... I wish I caught an idiot trying to pull off that stunt... FWC will have to go fishing for him...
