finger mullet

Post by captcrunku »

can someone please give me semi-reliable area to catch mulet mullet, like anywhere in broward or miami that holds them sometimes. ive been to so many boat ramps and intercoastal docks and cant manage to find any except for a 1-3 lone ones or big 12"+ mullet.

The mullet run is a month or two away. Not a lot of fingers if any to find outside of mangrove estuaries this time of year
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

like fish nfool said, your best bet is to find a mangrove lagoon or estuary off of some of the canals., and even then you might only find a few if lucky. If you want to take the drive, head up to Port st. lucie or Ft. pierce area of the intercoastal and you will probably find more quantities of finger mullet. Bring them back in a big bucket with a good aerator.

Yea I would tell you the last place I saw them but like they are saying there are so few it's not even worth it and in big numbers they have been bigger than fingers for me....like ikatze said head north to find more of a selection.
