Boatless Fishing Forum, Reports, Info

So what's up with Broward piers this year? Reports are few and far between, and with good reason, since the fishing has been terrible. Pompano Pier has been the pits, and I don't see many posts from the others either.

I honestly don't recall it being so bad ever!

Imo it's not just Broward, the fishing seems to be very hit and miss since Jan-Feb maybe even before.

You should talk to KOTS, I've heard his slaying them now.

I agree it's been horrible on the planks for going on well over six months now. What's most disturbing for me is that it's just been completely dead. It doesn't take much to amuse me and I don't eat these fish anyway so I'm happy playing with anything that puts a bend in Ronnies rod. Actually, I can't even tell you how long it's been since I've SEEN a fish caught at Dania I really wish was mine. Truth. We didn't even really get a shot at macs this year? Come on....Spanish macs carried fishing down here forever. Runners? Ladies? Jacks? WTF?

agreed but I fish the same exact spot every single week. and it has been consistant. I was going by the cycle of life if offshore is thriving inshore should be doing well

You guys have been fishing the wrong places. I got a 18 in pompano and flounder last Wednesday, as well as a blue fish and some sheepies. Also threw back a 18in black grouper and a bunch of other stuff.

We should all put in 50$ and get a ghetto Azz boat change the name to be the site formerly known as boatless fishing and draw straws and having pissing contests to see whose turn it is

Whats the story with them sound booms that was talked about last year in regards of drilling or some other chit. Or whats with the subs you see off of likordale.

That still going on and could that have something to do with it or is it jist bad luck for some?

Yes, Broward County is the wrong place lately, that was my point.

Even though it's days late, great intel like yours is why most members around here share so much of our information freely. How about a picture of all of those great fish for us to see......... but remember to blur the background like the other jerks just to keep the rest of us "fishing the wrong places". Really bud?

Great, that's just what we need around here, more faceless pictures from 20 years ago. I suppose a spear fishing report is coming next.

Agreed, fishing has been dead these past few months. I think I saw one or two schools of Mack's at Anglin's versus last year were everyone was meeting the daily max and leaving. I'm hoping with live bait starting to come in things get a little bit more exciting.

I had a fun this year as boatless fishing but had to work harder...It is not like last year when KOTS caught his limit every day.
Window of opportunity is much narrow but there are fish if you are at right place right time.
You can't just go there with dead and frozen bait... you need to have your game plan..
I also didn't see many info posted in this forum...But I got some PMs from those who caught their limit...
I think fishing is poor so that good fishing info is not just posted here.
Even if someone caught lots of fish one day, next day there was no fish...

Right time and place there is fish out there. I was out sun morning and saw school of tarpon rolling within casting distance of the tee on Dania. It was a$$ crack of dawn like 6 am tho. I should hit the pier again its been a while I kinda miss all the bs u see out there

Sorry could not tell about bait. I was out in a yak and shooting for deep water so I did not stick around long there is fish around tho I saw a big school of kings or macks before first reef last week blitzing bait. I'm going to leave yak at home and break out big sticks and head for pier this weekend some time
