The spillways on 595 and on Orange Drive will produce bass peacocks tarpon and snook
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

There is a fine line between Love & Hate.Hate is pushing them off a ledge. Loving them means you don't taunt them after you've pushed them off.

Some of the shallow side canals provide good results. Like they said, you just have to put in some time trying spots. I have found the more hidden, rarely fished spots are the best! Nothing beats finding a hidden gem that produces nice fish - it's a great feeling. And don't write off a spot just because it dos not produce on the first try.
Some good spots get weeded in during the summer and become un-fishable, but will get good again soon.

I was in the Orange Dr canal area Wednsday night and talked to 3 guys fishing. Using live shiners they caught a tarpon around 25 lbs and a gar and lost another tarpon. The fish are there.
